Fluffy German Meatballs - Easy Recipe

Fluffy German Meatballs are on my meal plan at least once a month. They are easy, quick, and highly comforting.

Ingredients

  • 500g mixed minced meat pork and beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bread roll
  • 1 tbsp german mustard
  • 0,5 tsp paprika powder
  • 0,5 tsp spicy paprika powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Cut the bread roll into small cubes.
  • Soak the bread roll cubes in water for min. 5 minutes.
  • Preheat 1tbsp of oil in the pan. Fry the onion until translusent. Set aside to cool down.
  • Take the bread roll out of the water and squeeze the excess water from it.
  • In a large bowl mix all ingredients: minced meat, soaked bread roll cubes, onion, mustard, egg, paprika powder, salt and pepper. For extra kick you can add spicy paprika powder as well.
  • Shape the meat mixture into oval meatballs, 4cm thick.
  • Preheat the oil on the frying pan.
  • Fry the meatballs on medium-low heat for about 5 minutes on each side.
