INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 4 medium or large apples
  • 50 g marzipan
  • 1 tbsp butter room temperature
  • 7 g vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp almonds
  • 1 tsp starch
  • vanilla sauce
  • butter for greasing the baking dish
INSTRUCTIONS

  • Take a small mixing bowl and add the raisins to it. Cover them with rum and let them rest for at least 1 hour.
  • Take butter out of the fridge.
  • Preheat the oven to 180° C (356° Fahrenheit).
  • Wash and tap dry the apples. Cut off 2 cm from the top. Set it aside.
  • With a small knife or a teaspoon remove the seeds and not edible parts from the apples.
  • Grate marzipan into a small mixing bowl. Add butter and mix it with a hand mixer. Add the raisins with the rum.
  • Grease the baking dish.
  • Place the apples into the baking dish and fill them with the Marzipan filling. I am using a teaspoon and a finger for that. Next to them place the top parts that you cut off at the beginning.
  • Bake the apples for 20 minutes. Serve with the top parts at the top with vanilla sauce on the side.
