Polish Easter Pascha - Polish White Cheese Dessert

Equipment

  • cotton cloth
  • medium size bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 glass white sugar
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 250 g butter room temperature
  • 1 kg Polish curd cheese semi-fat
  • almonds a handful, without skin
  • walnuts a handful
  • prunes a handful, diced
  • raisins yellow a handful
  • raisins sultans a handful
  • dried apricots a handful, diced
  • fresh fruits for decoration
  • 1 package vanilla sugar 32 oz

Instructions

  • Whisk sugar, butter and egg yolks until smooth. Add vanilla sugar and whisk until all ingredients are combined.
  • Add white cheese and mix until well combined.
  • Add dried fruits and nuts and mix again.
  • Take a medium-large bowl (or cone-shaped bowl, if you have one) and lay in it a cotton napkin, add the mixture to it and refrigerate for 12 hours.
  • Take the bowl out of the fridge and the cheese mixture out of the bowl with the help of a cotton napkin. The mixture should be a bit harder than before.
  • Decorate with fresh fruits and enjoy!
