German Vanillekipferl

Ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • 125 g sugar
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 125 g ground almonds
  • 250 g butter
  • icing sugar

Instructions

  • Place flour in a large flat bowl. Make a whole with your hand in the middle and place there sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks. Mix all ingredients well.
  • Cut butter into small pieces.
  • Add butter and almonds to the mixture. Mix all ingredients well.
  • Now your dough is ready! Let it rest in the fridge for 30min.
  • Roll the dough into 2cm thick rolls. Cut the rolls into slices and form little crescents.
  • Bake the cookies at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle them with icing sugar when still warm.
  • Let them cool down on a rack before serving.
