Cook the jacket potatoes in a salty, boiling water depending on the size until done but not overcooked! They should be soft but not mushy! For small potatoes - 15min, medium - 18min and large - 20 minutes.
Place slices of the cucumber in a small bowl and add 1 tsp salt. Stir it and set aside for 30 minutes.
Chop the onions and hard-boiled egg.
At this point, the potatoes should be ready. Drain the potatoes and let them cool down a bit before you start peeling them.
Remove excess water from the cucumber.
Prepare the dressing:
Mix miracle whip, mustard, white wine vinegar, chopped onions, hard-boiled egg, marjoram, salt and pepper.
Make the salad
Peel the potatoes and cut them into 5mm thick slices.
In a large bowl combine cucumber and potato slices as well as dressing, mix well.
Set aside for at least 30 minutes. Correct seasoning if needed.
Cook sausages and serve
In a medium pot bring salty water to boil. Turn off the heat and add the sausages. Leave them in the pot covered with a lid for 10 minutes. Take them out from the pot and serve with room temperature potato salad.
