As the title of the blog says – this recipe comes from Colombia. I still remember this beautiful, sunny day in Cartagena when we decided to go to the sea side. The sea was 10 minutes away from our hotel and we had to walk through very poor part of the city. On our way we have seen a men who was washing shrimps. Society who lives in those poor areas lives from fishery so we were not surprised. We were very pleased to see the same men later on selling those shrimps to the people on the beach. We were very interested how he serves them and we found out that he finds them himself in the morning, washes them and sells them here on the beach. We ordered one portion which had around 100g. He mixed them with chopped onion and cocktail sauce and lime juice. Trust me – we will never forget the taste of those shrimps!
